The version of these terms published here at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to it.
Day One Toolkit is a UK business run by its two founders, Greg and Dan. Purchases are processed at checkout by Gumroad, which handles payment, applicable VAT and receipt delivery. Our products are downloadable digital templates and guides — educational documents you adapt for your own organisation. They are not legal, financial, tax, insurance or other professional advice, and buying them does not create any professional or advisory relationship. Where a template touches a regulated area (for example data protection or employment), it says so plainly and signposts you to a professional. You remain responsible for how you complete, adapt and use any template in your business.
Your purchase gives your organisation a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use, edit and reproduce the templates within that one organisation (consultants and fractional leaders may also use them in client engagements). You may not resell, redistribute, publish or share the products themselves, in original or modified form, as templates or as part of a competing product.
Products are delivered as instant downloads after payment. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital-content purchase; at checkout you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that downloading the content within those 14 days ends that cancellation right — the checkout captures this consent and your receipt restates it.
Separately from your legal rights, we offer our own 14-day money-back guarantee: if a product isn't what you needed, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose — if it isn't, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. Your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in these terms.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Where VAT or local sales tax applies to your purchase, the checkout shows the total you will pay before you confirm.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, and because our products are low-cost self-serve templates rather than tailored professional advice, our total liability arising from a purchase is limited to the price you paid for the product concerned, and we are not liable for business losses that a template's guidance told you to take professional advice on. If you buy as a consumer in the EU, you keep the mandatory protections of your own country's law, including conformity rights for digital content.
Where a product page says updates are included, we mean improvements and corrections to that product, delivered through your original download link. Time-sensitive content (fees, thresholds, regulations) carries a "checked on" date; we refresh it periodically but you should verify anything critical at the point you rely on it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in its courts. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of any rules of your own country's law that cannot be excluded by agreement, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts where the law allows.
